CORSAIR unveils Elgato Facecam Pro: The world’s first 4K60 webcam

Elgato, a CORSAIR company, announced the launch of the Facecam Pro, the world’s first webcam to capture 4K at 60 frames per second. According to CORSAIR, the breakthrough technology combined with Elgato’s powerful Camera Hub software has made the Facecam Pro a new benchmark in the global webcam industry, allowing content creators to create an ultra-high-definition video without the need for tedious setup.

Facecam Pro features a studio-grade f/2.0 21mm autofocus lens that can be manually set from 10 cm/4 inches to infinity. With a field of view of up to 90 degrees, the equipped 1/1.8-inch Sony STARVIS sensor can capture detailed images even when using effects such as pan, tilt, and zoom, or in poor lighting conditions.

Elgato’s latest image signal processor further completes the camera’s performance, which can encode and stream 4K@60FPS video with ultra-low latency via the USB 3.0 interface. At the same time, it performs real-time light correction, automatic noise reduction, and a series of calculations to provide good video quality in any environment.

Even applications that do not support 4K@60FPS video input can convert the original 4K@60FPS video to 1080P@60FPS video through the advanced algorithm of the built-in chip, thus providing better picture quality than standard 1080P webcams.
Using Elgato’s Camera Hub software, users can further enhance the user experience with settings such as field of view, exposure, and white balance, similar to the controls of a DSLR. In addition, cinematic PTZ effects are supported, and NVIDIA Broadcast is integrated, allowing users with NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards to achieve AI-driven effects. Users can also take advantage of plugins to pan, tilt, and zoom with Stream Deck.

The Facecam Pro comes with a sturdy mount with an industry-standard 1/4″ thread to attach the webcam to an Elgato Multi Mount or any compatible tripod, out of the box with the included USB-C to USB-C cable.
