Corsair launches EX100U portable SSD

Corsair announced the launch of the EX100U portable solid-state USB Type-C storage drive. This is CORSAIR’s new ultra-thin external storage device, available in capacities ranging from 500GB to 4TB, allowing users to store large amounts of data and take them with them in a pocket-sized form factor.

The EX100U portable SSD adopts a relatively flat design, with an overall size of 79mm x 37mm x 11mm, and the color scheme is black and gray, making it more stable. It is equipped with a USB Type-C Gen2x2 interface with a maximum data transfer rate of up to 20 Gbps. According to Corsair, the sequential read speed of the EX100U portable solid-state drive is up to 1600MB/s, and the sequential write speed is up to 1500MB/s which can satisfy users for intensive operations, such as video and picture editing, and install large game files.

Users can use the EX100U portable SSD on a PC, Mac, or game console. The USB Type-C to Type-C and USB Type-C to Type-A cables are included in the package, ensuring the wide compatibility of EX100U solid-state drives. Thanks to its simple plug-and-play setup, you can start working immediately after plugging in the EX100U portable solid-state drive. In addition, the USB Type-C interface of the EX100U SSD has a protective cover, which effectively prevents the device from being damaged during carrying.

Corsair said that the EX100U SSD enjoys a three-year limited warranty, as well as Corsair’s global customer service and technical support network, but it has not yet provided a price or a specific time to market.
