CORSAIR MP600 PRO XT SSD adds 8TB version

CORSAIR released the MP600 PRO XT last year, a PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD with a 2280 M.2 specification. According to ComputerBase, CORSAIR has added an 8TB version to the existing 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB versions of the MP600 PRO XT SSD and has begun shipping to retailers. It uses Phison’s PS5018-E18 controller chip and Micron’s 176-layer 3D TLC NAND flash memory. Sequential read and sequential write speeds are up to 7100 MB/s and 6100 MB/s, respectively, and 4K random read/write is up to 950K IOPS and 1.2M IOPS, respectively.

Compared with the 4TB version, the sequential write speed and 4K random read of the 8TB version are slightly lower, but still, have good performance. The price of the 8TB version of the MP600 PRO XT is not cheap, at 1399.9 euros, which is even more expensive than the two 4TB versions of the same series. It’s unclear when CORSAIR will launch the 8TB version of the MP600 PRO XT in other regions, and pricing may vary slightly.
