Chrome OS 73 Releases: support to share files/folders with Linux apps

Google today released a stable version of Chrome OS 73 for Chromebook devices, introducing new features in addition to regular feature fixes and security updates. Following last week’s release of Chrome 73 for GNU/Linux, macOS, and Windows systems and Android mobile devices, Chrome OS 73 Stable have added a number of enhancements to enrich your Chromebook experience.

Microsoft Edge supports Google Chrome extensions

New features include:
  • Better Chrome OS out-of-memory management
  • Report additional telemetry data for Chrome OS devices
  • Alerts regarding upcoming removal of remaining Chrome Supervised Users
  • Video Player: switch to native media controls
  • Demo Mode: Switch language setting
  • Audio Focus on CrOS
  • Developers can share files/folders with Linux apps.
  • Improved native Drive integration with added support for the Drive->Computers root in Files app
  • Demo Mode: Offline enrollment and setup functionality
