CAPCOM presents Dragon’s Dogma II
At the “Capcom Showcase,” Capcom unveiled a variety of games, including the much-anticipated “Dragon’s Dogma II,” which will be released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. Although “Dragon’s Dogma II” has recently been listed on the Steam platform, no specific release date has been provided.
Hideaki Itsuno, the producer of “Dragon’s Dogma II,” indicates that the map of the sequel is quadruple the size of its predecessor, promising to deliver a more enriching gaming experience. The new installment maintains the distinctive features of the first game, and it’s crafted using the RE Engine. The latest graphics, physics computations, and AI technology have been meticulously employed to weave a brand-new fantasy world. Despite being a single-player game, the incorporation of AI technology enhances the interactive experience with other players.
Gamers will control the protagonist, known as the “Awakener,” embarking on a journey with followers to vanquish the malevolent dragon and discover the meaning of their existence. The game responds to the player’s imagination with a myriad of vibrant actions, allowing even a solitary player to enjoy the experience of adventuring with others. Players can select followers based on their preferences and can also borrow two followers from online friends. The upgraded follower system is designed to make more accurate decisions based on player requirements.
In addition to the monsters already existing in the previous game, new creatures such as Medusa will appear. The game will also feature more characters and more complex interpersonal relationships. The development team has introduced two new characters, Urika and Nadinia. The former is an archer, while the latter is a high priestess of the orc tribe, both of whom will serve as the core of the game’s narrative.
