Bill Gates prefers Android phones over iPhone
The number of users and downloads of Clubhouse has surged in recent days. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates also participated in his first Clubhouse conference recently.
Since Clubhouse is currently only available on the iOS system, the reporter Andrew Ross Sorkin asked Bill Gates, do you often use iPhone? Do you prefer the Android system or the iOS system?
In this regard, Bill Gates replied that his main machine is the Android phone, but because he wants to know everything in time, he also has an iPhone backup machine, but he must only carry an Android phone with him.
When talking about the reasons, Gates said that he likes Android phones because some Android manufacturers pre-install Microsoft software on their phones, which makes him feel very convenient. In addition, the Android system has “flexible about how the software connects up with the operating system“, so he finally chose to use Android phones.
“I actually use an Android phone,” Gates said. “Because I want to keep track of everything, I’ll often play around with iPhones, but the one I carry around happens to be Android.”
“So Android vs Apple – is this a religious thing?” asked Sorkin.
“Some of the Android manufacturers pre-install Microsoft software in a way that makes it easy for me,” Gates replied. “They’re more flexible about how the software connects up with the operating system. So that’s what I ended up getting used to. You know, a lot of my friends have iPhone, so there’s no purity.”
During the period, Clubhouse co-founder Paul Davison also joined the meeting and gave a speech. He told Bill Gates that the current Android version of Clubhouse is the focus of their company’s work, and it is something they are very excited about.
