Asus launches ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000, the world’s first quad-band Wi-Fi 6E gaming router

At the CES 2022 exhibition, ASUS launched the ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 router, priced at about $649. This 10 Gigabit wireless router is the top configuration whether it is a wired network or a wireless network, including 2.5G WAN port, 10G LAN port, and 1G LAN port.

The wireless network supports the 2.4GHz frequency band, 5.2GHz frequency band, 5.8GHz frequency band and 6GHz frequency band, and these frequency bands can have a maximum concurrent rate of 16Gbps.

This router has many features. First of all, its WAN port supports 2.5Gbps. Considering that the home network in most markets has not yet broken through Gigabit, the WAN speed of this ASUS router can be considered as a preparation for the future.

There are two 10 Gigabit RJ45 copper ports and four Gigabit RJ45 copper ports in the LAN port, which is enough for desktop gamers with a 10 Gigabit network card.

ASUS’s purpose is to provide players with a high-speed and low-latency experience, so at the software level, ASUS also uses optimization techniques to keep network latency as low as possible.

In terms of wireless networks, the concurrency of quad-band support is 38% higher than that of ASUS’ previous flagship router products, and the overall throughput of the router is also increased by more than 18%.

Supporting WiFi 6E technology allows players to reduce interference through different frequency bands, while the 160Hz channel allows users to stream 8K video in the home network.

ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 router uses a Broadcom 64-bit processor with a maximum frequency of 2GHz, so users can run applications on the router to achieve some specific functions.

Including Game Boost adaptive technology can automatically identify and prioritize game traffic to the highest, allowing players to ensure the best performance of the game when gaming.
