ASUS releases RX 7900 XTX/XT DUAL OC GPUs
Asus has announced the launch of two new graphics cards, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX DUAL OC and the Radeon RX 7900 XT DUAL OC. Unlike MSI, which has scaled back its Radeon graphics card operations, Asus continues to introduce new products even though the Radeon RX 7900 series has been on the market for over a year.
The Radeon RX 7900 XTX DUAL OC and Radeon RX 7900 XT DUAL OC are likely the first of their kind on the market to feature a dual-fan cooling solution, a departure from the traditional triple-fan designs. Notably, Asus’s previous generation of Radeon RX 6800/6900 series did not include any dual-fan models. These cards are substantial in size, measuring 323 x 147 x 58 mm, with a thickness of 2.95 slots. They are equipped with axial fans that use dual ball bearings, longer blades paired with a barrier ring to enhance downward air pressure, and also support 0dB technology. The reinforced aluminum alloy backplate enhances the structural strength of the cards, helps prevent bending, and effectively protects the components. The I/O bracket is fortified with 304 stainless steel for added durability and superior corrosion resistance.
The graphics cards feature a dual BIOS option, offering a performance mode and a quiet mode. The Radeon RX 7900 XTX DUAL OC operates at game/boost frequencies of 2455/2615 MHz in performance mode and 2330/2525 MHz in quiet mode; the Radeon RX 7900 XT DUAL OC runs at game/boost frequencies of 2175/2535 MHz in performance mode and 2075/2450 MHz in quiet mode. Additionally, users can adjust and monitor their cards using the GPU Tweak III software.
These graphics cards are manufactured using Asus’s Auto-Extreme technology, an automated process that completes all soldering in a single pass. This not only reduces thermal strain on components but also avoids the use of highly acidic cleaning chemicals. This technique lessens the environmental impact, reduces power consumption during production, and results in a more reliable product.
