ASUS new Vivobook S 15 laptop revealed, Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor

During last year’s Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm announced the launch of the Snapdragon X Elite, designed specifically for PCs, featuring the custom Oryon core. Qualcomm has high hopes for this product, and according to the release plan, Windows laptops equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite will soon make their debut. In recent times, new products from manufacturers such as Dell and Lenovo have gradually appeared.

Recently, an online user discovered that Asus’s first laptop equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite has been listed on an e-commerce platform in Vietnam for some time. The model is “Vivobook S 15 OLED S5507QA-MA089WS,” positioned as a next-generation AI chip laptop.

According to the page information, it features the “Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100,” with 12 cores and 12 threads, a maximum frequency of 3.4GHz, a total cache of 42MB, and offers 75 TOPS of AI computing power, fully meeting the requirements of Microsoft’s Copilot for at least 40 TOPS of local operation. Additionally, this laptop boasts a 15.6-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2880 x 1620, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a response time of 0.2ms, a brightness of 600 nits, and a DCI-P3 color gamut of 100%. It is paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD. The battery capacity is 70WHr, and it meets the US MIL-STD 810H military standard, capable of withstanding daily wear and tear.

Asus has not yet mentioned which of its products will feature the Snapdragon X Elite processor, but it has previously announced that it will hold the “Next Level AI Incredible” event on May 21, 2024, to unveil new Vivobook series products equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite.
