Asus launches new ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip with the flip camera

Asus has launched the new ZenFone 8 pocket model and ZenFone 8 Flip with a flip camera. The price of ZenFone 8 starts at $599, and the price of ZenFone 8 Flip starts at $799.

ZenFone 8 uses a 5.9-inch 1080p OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, 8GB of memory, and 256GB of storage, and supports IP68 protection. Both 8 and 8 Flip use a Snapdragon 888 chipset, support 5G, and ZenFone 8 only provides two fixed rear cameras. ZenFone 8 includes an IP68 waterproof rating and offers a 4,000mAh battery.

ZenFone 8 Flip is a larger device with a 6.67-inch screen, it provides a larger 5000mAh battery and 30W wired charging, including 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage. This device has no IP rating.

ASUS said that the rotating camera housing of ZenFone 8 Flip uses a more powerful and durable motor with better endurance; users can expect up to 300,000 flips from it. A custom RhinoShield case will be sold separately in some markets. It has a sliding cover to protect the case and a sensor that automatically activates the camera when the cover is opened.
