ASUS Announces New Vivobook 16 OLED Laptop
ASUS has announced the launch of its new Vivobook 16 OLED (M1605) laptop, available in two hues, obsidian and silver. Equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7000 H-Series processor, this streamlined design is purpose-built for daily entertainment and professional tasks, facilitating seamless multitasking and offering ample storage for user files.
As reported by TechPowerup, the novel Vivobook 16 OLED boasts a 3.2K OLED HDR NanoEdge display on three sides, sporting a 16:10 aspect ratio and an 86.5% screen-to-body ratio. With a refresh rate of 120Hz, a response time of 0.2ms, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, the display has garnered the DisplayHDR True Black 600, Pantone Color, and German TÜV low-blue-light certifications. Its opening angle extends to 180°.
The latest platform incorporates the AMD Ryzen 7000H processor, replete with Zen 4 architecture cores and the AMD AI engine. Complemented by 16GB DDR5-4800 RAM and 1TB PCIe SSD, it incorporates a dual-ventilation cooling system crafted from an 87-blade IceBlade fan and heat pipe. Housed within are a 70Wh battery, a full-sized ASUS ErgoSense keyboard, a generously sized touchpad, an optional fingerprint sensor, and an HD 3DNR webcam with a physical shield for privacy protection.
The device is armed with a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm audio port, offering Wi-Fi 6E wireless networking. ASUS also provides a smart meeting feature, inclusive of the latest ASUS AI noise reduction audio technology. Additionally, it is bundled with several ASUS applications to enhance productivity, such as GlideX, MyASUS, and ScreenXpert.
Moreover, this new offering employs 30% post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR) in its construction and 100% recyclable packaging. With energy efficiency surpassing Energy Star standards and durability ensured, it has undergone stringent testing under the MIL-STD-810H US military standard.
