Apple Macbook series with mini-LED displays will most likely be postponed until 2022
A few weeks ago, Apple introduced the iPad Pro model with the mini-LED display. Many users expect Apple to introduce new display technology into the Macbook series. It has always been reported that Apple is redesigning the 14-inch and 16-inch Macbook Pro models, which will be launched this year, only from May or June to the second half of the year. However, according to the latest report, Apple is very likely to postpone the release of the Macbook series with a mini-LED display until next year.
According to Digitimes reports, Apple originally planned to release 14-inch and 16-inch Macbook Pro models with mini-LED displays in the second half of the year. It was originally planned that the new model will be launched in the third quarter of this year, and the two models will be mass-produced in the fourth quarter of this year and the first quarter of next year. However, Apple’s partners continue to experience delays, and there is probably no way to launch it this year. Previous shipments of iPad Pro models with mini-LEDs display have been affected, and it is normal for the Macbook series with mini-LED displays to be postponed.
In 2021, the shipment volume of mini-LED displays will increase month by month. By the third quarter, the relevant production lines will reach full capacity to meet the peak sales period of the European and American markets at the end of the year. In the past, in the fourth quarter, the production of screens will slow down and shipments will decrease, but the situation will be different this year. A series of new products using mini-LED displays will support the production in the fourth quarter and maintain the state of high-speed production. Individual manufacturers may have to optimize their production lines to increase additional production capacity in order to make shipments meet expectations.
