AMD will host an event on October 4 about B650/B650E AM5 motherboards

Earlier last month, AMD, together with its main motherboard partners, showcased a number of motherboards powered by the X670 series chipset at its Meet The Experts event for enthusiasts and professionals and introduced its important features. Previously, it was reported that motherboards using B650 series chipsets will follow soon. Compared with X670 series chipsets, their positioning is closer to mainstream users.

AMD made a new announcement today, saying it will be hosting a new Meet The Experts event with partner representatives titled “An Exclusive First Look at B650 and B650E AM5 Motherboards”. The time is set for October 4, 2022, which is also the first time AMD has demonstrated the mid-range design of the AM5 platform.

At present, AMD has invited relevant people from ASUS, ASRock, MSI, Gigabyte, and Biostar. The event lasts for 60 minutes and will showcase their respective products in the webcast. Each brand’s team will have its own section and a brief introduction to its own B650 series motherboards, during which AMD will be accompanied by product marketing manager Donny Woligroski.

According to rumors in the past period of time, AMD’s B650 series will have two chipsets, namely B650 and B650E, and E stands for Extreme. The B650E will provide PCIe 5.0 standard expansion slots and NVMe storage, which are only optional items on the B650.

The Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors based on the Zen 4 architecture and the matching X670/X670E motherboards will be available on September 27. However, the B650/B650E motherboard is expected to wait until October, and the exact date is not yet clear.
