At the end of last year, AMD announced FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 2.2 technology, subsequently, games such as Need For Speed: Unbound, Forza Horizon 5 and F1 22 have all announced support for this technology.
AMD has announced that it has opened the source code of FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.2 so that every game developer has the opportunity to integrate new technologies. As always, the source code for FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.2 has been made available via GPUOpen and can be found on a dedicated page. AMD also provided a table listing the changes, and how they affect the final image quality.
Another feature is a new API debugger that simplifies the integration process for game developers, although the transition from FSR 2.0 to FSR 2.1/2.2 is much easier than it was with FSR 1.0. AMD recommends rebuilding all integrations rather than simply swapping library files.
At present, 110 games support FSR 2, and if FSR 1 is added, it will reach 250 games.
