Some time ago, AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 XT for the mainstream market was already on sale, and the first batch of graphics cards was quickly swept away, unsurprisingly. Even if it is in stock, it cannot be purchased at the official recommended retail price, and a price increase is required. In addition to AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, the graphics card with Navi 23 core should also have Radeon RX 6600.
Its Navi 23 core has 1792 stream processors, the video memory bit width is 128 bits, the video memory is 4GB or 8GB GDDR6, and there is 32MB Infinity Cache. Recently,
Igor’sLAB used Radeon Pro W6600 with the same number of stream processors to simulate the performance of Radeon RX 6600.
Although it is not the most ideal solution, after all, it cannot fully simulate the control of frequency and power consumption, but there will not be much difference. Igor’sLAB sets its basic frequency to 2331 MHz, acceleration frequency to 2580 MHz, and memory rate to 16 Gbps. Refer to Radeon RX 6600 XT’s TDP (160W), and set TDP to 130W
The test results show that at 1080P resolution, the performance of this simulated Radeon RX 6600 graphics card is only 4% lower than that of GeForce RTX 3060. Constrained by only 8 PCI Express 4.0 channels and fewer stream processors, Igor’sLAB believes that it is difficult for Radeon RX 6600 to be competitive at 2K or higher resolution, although Radeon RX 6600 XT with the same GPU also performs well at 2K resolution.
The price of Radeon RX 6600 is expected to be between $300-330. The competitor is likely to be the GeForce RTX 3050 series released by Nvidia on the desktop platform.
