When AMD released the Radeon
RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics cards based on the next-generation RDNA 3 architecture GPU, it also announced a new plan to extend the previous AMD Advantage plan for laptops to desktops, aiming at creating high-performance desktops based on AMD systems, the first systems were shown at the event.
According to TomsHardware, lead gaming solutions architect Frank Azor went further on the AMD Advantage program for desktops. All desktops with the AMD Advantage logo will use Ryzen 9 7950X / 7900X processors, Radeon RX 7900 XTX / XT graphics cards, and X670E motherboards, use advanced chassis, CPU water cooling, 32GB or more DDR5 memory and support EXPO technology, at least 2TB NVMe storage, at least 80PLUS gold power supply, etc.
AMD has the potential to expand into Ryzen 7/5 processors, B650 series motherboards, and other Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards in the future, paired primarily with gamers. All desktops participating in the program are jointly designed by PC manufacturers and AMD engineers to ensure that these machines have efficient cooling and reliable power supply to unleash maximum performance.
Partners currently participating in the AMD Advantage Desktop Program are CSL, CyberPowerPC, eBuyer, Falcon Northwest, Maingear, Origin PC, and Xidax. There’s a temporary lack of big names like Lenovo, HP, Dell, and Acer, and more PC makers are likely to join in the coming months.
Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition will receive Hypr-RX functionality in the first half of 2023, a one-click solution for optimizing game settings and performance to reduce the complexity of PC game optimization.
