AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1 Releases
AMD’s FSR 2.0 technology has rejuvenated the old graphics cards of many players after its launch, and recently AMD has launched the FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1 update, which has better performance in image quality. In addition, the number of games supporting FSR 2.0 will also increase to 45, including several well-known masterpieces.
AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1 has already been included in the latest update to Farming Simulator 22. AMD said that compared with FSR 2.0, 2.1 has a lot of improvements in image quality, the most important thing is to improve the problem of ghosting on the screen. This update includes:
- To go into a little bit more detail, some of the improvements in FSR 2.1 include:
- Adding motion vector divergence to diminish locked pixels, which can alleviate ghosting.
- Improved disocclusion logic to improve upscaling quality in some disocclusion cases.
- Improved upscaled output quality with the better color range and temporal stability.
- Reactive Mask updates to alleviate ghosting issues on particles.
- Composition and Transparency Mask updates to alleviate additional ghosting issues.
- You can read about all these updates in more detail in our blog on GPUOpen.
As can be seen from the demo video, the rear of the farming vehicle is under FSR 2.0, and the red part will have a ghosting effect like a tail flame. However, in FSR 2.1, this kind of ghosting has been reduced a lot, and it looks more pleasing to the eye.
