AMD
announced that it will be participating in Gamescom 2022. This year’s Gamescom will be held at the Cologne Exhibition Center from August 24th to August 28th. After two years of online hosting, it will finally return to offline this year, using a synchronized online and offline method.
It was previously reported that AMD chose to release the
Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors and AM5 platform at 8:00 pm EST on August 29, 2022. It will be officially launched for sale at 9:00 am on September 15. That’s very close to Gamescom 2022, though it’s unclear whether AMD will choose to showcase the Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors and AM5 platform at the event.
It is rumored that AMD will announce the specific specifications and prices of the Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors this month, and motherboard manufacturers can also disclose the prices of their AM5 motherboards. In the past, AMD mostly participated in Gamecon by cooperating with manufacturers, generally cooperating with game developers, but this year is a little different. AMD chooses to participate directly, and it is likely to set up fixed booths in offline events.
Aside from a message from Milosz Bialas, AMD’s senior developer relations lead, other AMD-related leaders did not comment on the event.
