It is rumored that AMD will launch the Radeon RX 6×50 XT series graphics cards for desktop platforms on May 10. As a high-clock version of the original Radeon RX 6000 series, it will be equipped with 18 Gbps video memory. These RDNA 2 Refresh include Radeon RX 6950 XT/RX 6750 XT/RX 6650 XT, corresponding to Navi 21, Navi 22 and Navi 23 respectively.
Some netizens have already exposed some products of Sapphire. This time, VideoCardz
brought news of another AMD graphics card manufacturer PowerColor, the Radeon RX 6650 XT Hellhound for the mainstream market. This is a dual-slot graphics card with dual fans, and the overall design is relatively compact. The power consumption is said to be 160W, which is still powered by a single 8Pin external power supply, but the power supply requirements have been increased from 500W of the Radeon RX 6600 XT Hellhound to 600W.
The Radeon RX 6650 XT Hellhound still supports dual BIOS functions, and also has Silent and OC modes. The Silent mod’s game clock and boost clock are 2410MHz / 2635MHz, while the OC mode’s game clock and boost clock are 2486MHz / 2689MHz. In the current Radeon RX 6600 XT Hellhound, the game clock and boost clock of Silent mode are 2359MHz / 2589MHz respectively, and the game clock and boost clock of OC mode are 2382MHz / 2593MHz. It can be seen that there is a small increase in the clock of the Radeon RX 6650 XT Hellhound.
Interestingly, the Radeon RX 6650 XT Hellhound uses 17.5 Gbps of video memory, which is slightly different from the rumored 18 Gbps memory, not sure why. Compared to the RX 6600 XT Hellhound, the memory bandwidth of the RX 6650 XT Hellhound has been increased from 256 GB/s to 280 GB/s.
This is not the first PowerColor Radeon RX 6×50 XT series graphics card to be revealed. Previously, PowerColor had submitted
the Radeon RX 6750 XT Devil to RRA (National Radio Research Agency of Korea), the model is “AXRX 6750XT 12GBD6-3DHEOC”, which is a relatively high-end product.
