Phanteks Unveils Massive NV9 Case: Your New Gaming Throne Awaits

At Computex 2023, Phanteks showcased several new computer cases, following the September release of their NV5 series. Recently, the larger NV9 was officially revealed on their website, available in both black and white color schemes. They also launched new case-specific accessories, including D-RGB light strips and custom displays, both supporting magnetic attachment.

The Phanteks NV9 is a full-tower case, featuring a pillarless design between its front glass panels, offering a 270-degree wide-angle view of the internal components. It supports up to twelve 140mm fans and installation spaces for three 420mm and one 280mm radiators, boasting exceptional cooling capabilities, making it an advanced version of the NV7. Above the motherboard installation area, there’s ample space for decorative elements like light panels, and substantial room behind this area for installing high-wattage power supplies and comfortable cable management. The space below the power supply unit is designed as a hard drive bay, accommodating up to three 3.5-inch plus two 2.5-inch or six 2.5-inch hard drives. Users can also opt for a vertical GPU mounting kit, currently supporting PCIe 4.0, which is sufficiently robust for most needs. Unlike the lower-tier NV5/7, the NV9 is a full-tower case, targeting users who seek a visually striking, brilliantly lit, and excellently cooled setup.

Additionally, Phanteks introduced D-RGB light strips and a 5.5-inch Hi-Res display kit, customized for the NV series and supporting magnetic attachment. The light strips come in two black configurations, designed to be installed on the case’s frame, creating a unique RGB lighting atmosphere. The 5.5-inch screen is available in a universal version and a custom version for the EVOLV Shift XT case, featuring a resolution of 2160×1400 and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The universal model can be magnetically attached anywhere on the case and includes a stand for vertical positioning, requiring a 5V USB power supply and HDMI input. The custom model comes with a dedicated mounting bracket, uses SATA for power, and still requires an HDMI connection for image transmission.

According to Techpowerup, these new products are set to be released in mid-December 2023, with the following suggested retail prices:

  • NV7/9 Premium D-RGB Kit: $59.99
