Nvidia is rumored to postpone the release of RTX 3070 Ti 16GB

Recently there is news that NVIDIA will update the Ampere architecture product line in the near future, launching four products including GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB, and GeForce RTX 3050. Among them, GeForce RTX 3090 Ti and GeForce RTX 3050 will go on sale on January 27, 2022. The release date of the latter is January 4, 2022. The release date of GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB is December 17, 2021, and the sale date is January 11, 2022. There is no news for the GeForce RTX 3080 12GB.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti
According to the latest news from Igor’sLab, Nvidia has decided to postpone the release of GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB and RTX 3080 12GB. At present, NVIDIA has changed the release schedule of GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB. This graphics card is said to be a direct response to Intel’s upcoming Alchemist GPU series. In addition, the shortage of parts in the supply chain is also one of the reasons why Nvidia delayed the release of GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB.

The GeForce RTX 3080 12GB, which has no definite news, also encountered problems. It is said that Nvidia’s original schedule is also December 17, 2021, but it has not been updated for partners for a period of time. It is speculated that GeForce RTX 3080 still has good sales. Nvidia has no urgent need to update, so it will be delayed like GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB.

However, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is still proceeding as planned, and it is likely to be released at CES 2022 together with the GeForce RTX 3050. The supply shortage encountered by GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB is different. Since GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is very expensive, the target group is much smaller and there are fewer materials to prepare for it, so the supply chain impact is not obvious.
