NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 rendering exposed

GeForce RTX 40 series coolers have been leaked on the Internet before, and the cooler design style is very similar to the GeForce RTX 30 series Founders Edition on sale. Judging from the specifications of the radiator, it is obviously used by high-end products, including the silver metal frame in the picture with the words “RTX 4090 Ti” engraved on it. Rumors of higher power consumption for the next generation of graphics cards have intensified, and it is generally believed that a larger cooling system will be used.

Recently, Moore’s Law is Dead showed a rendering of the GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition, which is very convincing if compared with the previously leaked pictures. It is understood that these graphics card renderings equipped with Ada Lovelace architecture AD102 GPU were made using information disclosed by people familiar with the matter.

The overall style of the new generation of Founders Edition coolers will continue the design of the existing GeForce RTX 30 series. However, due to the high power consumption of the GeForce RTX 4090 series, rumored to be between 450W and 600W, the internal structure of the radiator of the Founders Edition will change. At the same time, the thickness of the radiator of the flagship product will be between 3 slots and 3.5 slots.

It is said that the current radiator of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition is designed for 450W power consumption. If the power consumption is pushed up to 600W, a larger volume is required to accommodate more heat sinks, but the design idea of the dual-axial flow cooling scheme remains unchanged.

To drive such a graphics card also requires a high-wattage power supply. It is speculated that the power supply of the new generation of high-end platforms should be rated at 1200W or more.
