Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 is available for pre-order

Microsoft has opened up pre-orders for its Surface Laptop Go 2 and its specs and prices, starting at $599. Microsoft will release a new generation of Surface Laptop Go 2 on June 7. The notebook will use an 11th-generation Core i5-1135G7 processor from Intel, which is a nice upgrade over the Surface Laptop Go.

Although the Surface Laptop Go 2 is similar to the previous generation in other configurations. The size is the same 12.4 inches, and the screen ratio is 3:2, but there are some differences. First, the minimum 64GB option is gone, and the minimum price has risen by $50; secondly, Surface Laptop Go 2 will have a new sage color option; finally, all Surface Laptop Go 2s will have Windows 11 pre-installed.

Interestingly, a major feature of the Surface Laptop Go 2 this time is that its keyboard, touchpad, screen, and battery can be replaced by the user, as long as the user has sufficient technical knowledge.

According to Microsoft, the Surface Laptop Go 2 is quieter, has an improved cooling solution that allows users to focus more easily, and has a better camera than its predecessor. However, the camera of the Surface Laptop Go 2 is only 720P, so the better camera it said may refer to better image processing, not a direct upgrade on the hardware.

In terms of specific prices, as mentioned above, the starting price of $599 can bring 4GB of memory and 128GB of SSD storage space. The price is $699 to get 8GB of RAM, while the price of $799 brings up to 256GB of SSD storage.
