Microsoft launches Surface Laptop 5 & Surface Studio 2+

Microsoft has comprehensively updated its Surface product line. In addition to the Surface Pro 9 upgraded to Intel’s 12th-generation Core U series, it has also released a series of new products such as Surface Laptop 5, Surface Studio 2+, and related accessories.

This time, the Surface Laptop 5 has been upgraded to the 12th-generation Core U series regardless of the 13.5-inch or 15-inch models. The 13.5-inch model can be selected from the lowest Core i5-1235U, the highest Core i7-1255U, and the 15-inch only has the Core i7 version; memory optional 8GB to 32GB LPDDR5x; storage optional 256GB to 1TB. The touchscreens have a resolution of 2256 x 1504 (13.5 inches) and 2496 x 1664 (15 inches), a contrast ratio of 1200:1, a maximum brightness of 450 nits, support for 10-point touch, and Dolby Vision IQ technology. At present, Surface Laptop 5 only has an Intel platform and has been certified by the Intel EVO platform, and there is no AMD platform model for the time being.

In addition, Surface Laptop 5 is equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 interface for the first time, and also provides USB-A 3.1 interface, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a magnetic charging port. It is also equipped with a 720P camera and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
Both the 13.5-inch and 15-inch models come with a 60W power adapter, and the official battery life is 18 hours and 17 hours, respectively. The Surface Laptop 5 is currently on pre-sale, starting at $999.
Surface Studio 2+
Microsoft also launched the Surface Studio 2+, which continues the design of the past. The new product is only available in one configuration, equipped with an Intel Core i7-11370H processor; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card; 32GB of DDR4 memory; 1TB of a solid-state drive. The screen is still a 28-inch 10-point touchscreen with a 4500 x 3000 resolution. It provides Thunderbolt 4 interface, USB-A 3.1 interface, Gigabit Ethernet port, 3.5mm headphone jack, etc. It is also equipped with a 1080P camera and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
