Intel Core i9-14900KS priced at $749

Recent reports have indicated that Intel plans to unveil the Core i9-14900KS on March 14, 2024, which is expected to be the final flagship processor for the LGA 1700 platform. This processor will incorporate the Raptor Lake Refresh chip, featuring 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores, totaling 24 cores and 32 threads. Its maximum turbo frequency will rise from the 6GHz of the Core i9-14900K to 6.2GHz, with a 36MB L3 cache, and the Thermal Design Power (TDP) will increase from 125W to 150W.

Previous rumors suggested that Intel would maintain a price of $739 for the processor, consistent with the pricing of the last two generations of KS products. However, the latest information provided by VideoCardz, based on data from MicroCenter, indicates that the Core i9-14900KS will be priced at $749, slightly higher than earlier rumors. Currently, within the same retail system, this price is 44% higher than the $520 of the Core i9-14900K.
