GIGABYTE Releases AORUS Gen5 10000 Series SSD
GIGABYTE announced that it officially released its flagship storage product: AORUS Gen5 10000 series M.2 NVMe SSD. Users can install it in the PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot of the AMD X670 and B650 series motherboards, and directly connect the processor through the PCIe 5.0 x4 channel. Of course, if the Intel 700 series motherboard also has an M.2 slot equipped with PCIe 5.0 x4, you can also get a high-performance storage experience.
According to TechPowerup, AORUS Gen5 10000 series M.2 NVMe SSD is M.2 2280 form factor. It adopts a Phison E26 controller, is equipped with more than 200 layers of stacked 3D TLC NAND flash memory, and is equipped with DDR4 DRAM as a cache. The E26 controller is manufactured with a 12nm process, supports the exclusive CoXProcessor 2.0 architecture of Phison Electronics, and functions such as PCIe Dual Port, SR-IOV, and ZNS. The I/O rate of the matched 3D TLC NAND particles can reach 2400MT/s, and the maximum sequential read and write speeds can reach 12 GB/s and 11 GB/s respectively.
At present, AORUS Gen5 10000 series M.2 NVMe SSD provides two capacities, 1TB and 2TB respectively, and the power consumption is less than 10W. Among them, the maximum sequential read speed of the 1TB model is 9.5 GB/s, the maximum sequential write speed is 8.5 GB/s, and the TBW is 700. The 2TB model has a maximum sequential read speed of 10 GB/s, a maximum sequential write speed of 9.5 GB/s, and a TBW of 1400. Unlike some manufacturers who introduce active cooling modules on PCIe 5.0 SSDs, AORUS Gen5 10000 series M.2 NVMe SSD still adopts a fanless passive cooling solution, users can avoid high noise disturbance encountered in daily use.

Gigabyte provides a two-year warranty for the AORUS Gen5 10000 series M.2 NVMe SSD, but the price of the product and the specific time to market have not yet been announced.
