ASUS ROG HDMI Charger Dock Leaked

The ROG Ally handheld device can be described as a highly popular piece of equipment lately, as it not only offers superior performance compared to the Steam Deck but also boasts the design prowess represented by the ROG moniker. According to a report by Liliputing, Twitter user SnoopyTech recently uncovered additional accessories for the ROG Ally.

As per SnoopyTech’s tweets, the ROG Cetra Earbuds wireless headphones and Raikiri Pro Controller gamepad are previously released products and not particularly remarkable. However, the third item shared is more intriguing – a charger, which may also be referred to as an expansion dock, named the ROG HDMI Charger Dock.

Similar to conventional chargers, the ROG HDMI Charger Dock features an all-black appearance with ROG logos on the left and right sides. The focus lies on its I/O ports, which include Type-C, USB 2.0, and HDMI 2.0. Based on SnoopyTech’s reply, the dock is capable of simultaneously connecting to a large screen and charging the device without battery drain during gameplay.

From our earlier report, the ROG Ally product label indicates a requirement of 20V5A or 100W input. Thus, even though SnoopyTech did not mention the charger’s power rating, we can estimate it to be a 100W charger.

Nevertheless, the more pressing matter is whether this charger will be included as a complimentary accessory. As an expansion dock, its ports are not exactly comprehensive, but it would be quite impressive as a bundled component.
