Apple may release the mini model in the iPhone 15 series

Apple officially released the iPhone 14 series at the “Far Out” event on September 7, 2022, including iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Among them, the 5.4-inch mini models of the past two generations were replaced by the iPhone 14 Plus, and the new lineup consists of two 6.1-inch and two 6.7-inch models.

However, the performance of the iPhone 14 Plus, which had been expected to be high, was not satisfactory, and it fell behind early, making Apple cut orders and even consider stopping production early. According to DigiTimes, Apple is considering adjusting the lineup of the iPhone 15 series to be released in 2023 due to concerns that the sales of the iPhone 14 series will not be as good as expected.

Apple may release the mini model in the iPhone 15 series. The new lineup will consist of five models: iPhone 15 mini (5.4 inches), iPhone 15 (6.1 inches), iPhone 15 Plus (6.7 inches), iPhone 15 Pro (6.1 inches), and iPhone 15 Pro Max (6.7 inches).

Apple will also redefine the functions and prices of the iPhone 15 series to make the positioning of each model clear and the differentiation more obvious. It is said that all iPhone 15 series will be equipped with the Dynamic Island function, but it is not clear whether the non-Pro models will have a higher screen refresh rate, and the Pro models may also be made of titanium alloy. The iPhone 15 Pro Max will also be equipped with a periscope camera.
