Apple may release a new MiniLED iMac Pro in June this year

There have been rumors that Apple will launch a redesigned iMac Pro this year. The new iMac Pro will make up for some design deficiencies of the previous M1 iMac. In addition to being equipped with Apple’s self-developed chips to provide more powerful performance, it will also be equipped with a mini-LED display.

Recently, Twitter user @DSCCRoss revealed that Apple may choose to release a new MiniLED iMac Pro around June this year. The display will be equipped with more than 4,000 mini-LEDs, divided into about 1,000 zones. It is understood that Apple has been preparing for the new iMac Pro for a long time, and although it is rumored to be unveiled at the spring event, the new information seems to indicate that Apple would prefer to launch the new product in the summer. There have been rumors in the past that the new MiniLED iMac Pro will have a 27-inch mini-LED display with a refresh rate that dynamically changes between 24 Hz and 120 Hz.

It is said that on the new iMac Pro, the original Intel x86 processors should be replaced by the M1 Pro and M1 Max, and the matching memory will start from 16GB and can be selected up to 64GB. Compared to the M1 iMac, the new iMac Pro will offer more expandability, with four Thunderbolt ports, a network card port, and possibly an SD card reader for professional creatives. The new iMac Pro should inherit the design style of the M1 iMac in appearance, but will use a darker color scheme, and will further remodel the internal structure and use a new cooling solution.
