Apple iPad 10 will have a new design

Apple is likely to launch a relatively affordable iPad model this year as part of the 2022 lineup, which should be chronologically called the iPad 10, and is expected to be released alongside the iPad Pro with the M2 chip. Recently, Twitter user @pranavchaps leaked renderings of the iPad 10, showing that it adopts a new design, which should be the first time in the past few years that Apple has changed the appearance of the basic iPad.

The shape of the iPad 10 has become more square, and the combination of right-angled bezels and rounded corners make it closer to the iPad mini 6 and iPad Pro models, which look very simple. However, the iPad 10 will still have a physical Home button with Touch ID support. The camera on the back of the iPad 10 will bulge to accommodate the sensor and LED flash.

It is reported that the iPad 10 will no longer be equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and another very important change is to be equipped with a USB-C interface to replace the Lightning interface in order to adapt to the development trend of the market and the future requirements of the competent authorities in some regions. It is rumored that the screen size of the new model will also increase slightly, from 10.2 inches to 10.5 inches, equipped with A14 Bionic, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and 5G network, etc., and may also have a larger battery capacity to improve battery life.

The iPad 10 should be equipped with the official version of iPadOS 16, and the pricing should be consistent with the previous generation, which will be more attractive for users looking for lower-priced models.
