Apple invites many virtual reality technology-related media and bloggers to participate in WWDC 2023

Following Apple’s disclosure of the WWDC 2023 itinerary, affirming the commencement of the keynote address at 10 AM Pacific Time on June 5, word has spread that Apple has extended invitations to media and technology specialists within the realm of virtual reality to partake in the event. It is anticipated that the rumored virtual vision headgear will be unveiled.

According to reports from 9to5Mac, in contrast to previous event invitations extended to media outlets globally, Apple has uniquely this year extended invitations to media focused on virtual and augmented reality to conduct on-site interviews at WWDC 2023. Numerous bloggers specializing in reviewing virtual vision headsets have also been invited.

In similar circumstances, when Apple first unveiled the Apple Watch product in 2014, numerous fashion media outlets and bloggers were invited to the new product launch. Likewise, during the 2019 introduction of the Apple TV+ service, a plethora of Hollywood stars, film directors, and entertainment media were invited to participate.

Therefore, viewing the types of media and bloggers invited, it’s plausible that Apple may use WWDC 2023 to announce its first virtual vision headgear.

Apple is expected to announce new versions of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, tvOS 17, and macOS 14 during WWDC 2023, and possibly the xrOS (or xrProOS), which will be used with virtual reality headsets. Apart from the anticipated unveiling of the virtual reality headset, it seems that a new 16-inch MacBook Air is also in the pipeline.

Simultaneously, Apple appears to plan to host a small special event for developers in the main building of Apple Park, ‘The Ring,’ seemingly focusing on explaining the content of this release. This heightens the possibility of the long-rumored Apple virtual reality headset finally coming to fruition.
