Apple began offering Face ID repairs for the iPhone X without replacing the whole machine

As we all know, full-screen mobile phones began to develop in the second half of 2017, and Apple also took the lead in launching the first batch of full-screen mobile phones at that time – the iPhone X, which become the mainstream, and Face ID has replaced Touch ID for the first time. Face ID integrates an infrared lens, camera, and dot matrix projector, and various configurations work together to build a user’s 3D face. A model that allows users to easily unlock by face.

According to macrumors, Apple intends to add the iPhone X to their list of repairing Face ID systems, according to a memo seen by the media. Apple plans to expand its program, which previously allowed customers to repair Face ID systems without replacing the entire device, but excludes the iPhone X model, which has now been added.

It is understood that Apple has launched this program in March this year, and let Apple Store retail stores and authorized repair centers obtain parts for the iPhone’s TrueDepth camera system. At the same time, the relevant maintenance technicians are allowed to repair the “Face ID” without replacing the whole machine.

In the beginning, this repair program was only applicable to the iPhone XS and later models, but it has now been expanded to the iPhone X, which basically covers all of Apple’s iPhone products with Face ID.
