Amazon confirmed the end of the Halo health product business

Amazon’s recent layoffs have further impacted its Halo health product line. In an email sent to users, Amazon announced that it would terminate all technical support for Halo-branded health products by the end of July this year.

An internal memo obtained by The Verge reveals that Melissa Cha, Vice President of Smart Home and Health, confirmed the adjustment to employees, acknowledging it as an incredibly difficult decision accompanied by a degree of workforce reduction.

The discontinuation of Halo-branded health products is attributed to market uncertainties and the inability of certain products to generate sufficient profits. Although many consumers support the use of Halo health products, Amazon has chosen to focus on projects with more lucrative growth opportunities given limited resources.

According to the email sent by Amazon to users, refunds will be issued for Halo-branded health products and accessories purchased within the past year. Additionally, users who have prepaid for Halo services subscriptions that have not yet been utilized will no longer be charged if they choose to pay monthly.

Furthermore, the app service corresponding to Halo-branded health products will cease operation after August 1st this year. All Halo health products will be deactivated after August 1st, and all data stored in Halo-related services will be purged. Users who wish to retain their data can manually download and save it.
