ADATA released LEGEND 960 PCIe 4.0 SSD for PC and PS5

ADATA announced the launch of the LEGEND 960 SSD, which is an M.2 2280 product with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. ADATA said that with the advent of Web 3.0 and the increasing demand for virtual reality, the new LEGEND 960 SSD will provide high-performance support for advanced design applications such as 3D animation, game design, virtual art, and more.

LEGEND 960 PCIe 4.0 SSD supports NVMe 1.4 and is equipped with DRAM cache and SLC Cache, which will have advantages in system loading and data caching. Its highest sequential read and sequential write speeds reach 7400 MB/s and 6800 MB/s, respectively, four times faster than ordinary PCIe 3.0 SSDs, and 4K random read/write is 750K/630K IOPS, which can achieve smoother task processing. This SSD supports Intel and AMD’s latest desktop and notebook (including Intel® Evo certified) products, while the good backward compatibility with PCIe 3.0 increases the convenience of users.

According to the official introduction, the LEGEND 960 PCIe 4.0 SSD can meet the expansion needs of Sony PlayStation 5 game console storage space, and the size design conforms to its slot design, which can provide a smooth and lag-free gaming experience after optimization. The LEGEND 960 PCIe 4.0 SSD also features LDPC and AES 256-bit encryption to ensure users’ data remains accurate and secure.

ADATA said that the LEGEND 960 PCIe 4.0 SSD has been rigorously verified and tested, and the official will provide a five-year warranty. The first launch will be the 1TB and 2TB versions, and the 4TB will have to wait until the end of August. The specific price is not yet clear.
