Intel’s new partners showed off the new DG1 discrete graphics card

In late January this year, Intel officially released products based on the Xe-LP architecture for the DG1 discrete graphics card for entry-level desktops. This discrete graphics card, which is only used on low-priced PCs from OEM manufacturers, requires a special BIOS on the motherboard to use it. In March, two Intel partners have launched related products, one is ASUS, and the other is an unknown brand.

As a simplified version of Intel’s Iris Xe Max GPU, it has 80 EUs, while the complete Iris Xe Max GPU’s 96 EUs are manufactured using the 10nm SuperFin process. It is configured with 4GB LPDDR4x-4266 video memory, its bit size is 128 bits, and the internal uses PCIe 3.0 x4 interface (PCIe 3.0 x16 interface shape). According to the leaked test results, its performance is at the same level as the Radeon RX 550 graphics card that AMD launched four years ago.

There are display models of graphics cards using this GPU on Intel’s website. There are currently only two, except for the original ASUS product. There is also a Chinese manufacturer named GUNNIR. Gunnir Lanji DG1 card replaces the previous colorful card with the same radiator. The Lanji DG1 graphics card uses the same single-slot specification as ASUS DG1-4G, but the display output is a DisplayPort interface configured by ASUS. An HDMI interface is different from a DVI-D interface. Gunnir Lanji DG1 card provides an HDMI interface and a VGA interface.
