MSI Z690 will update BIOS to support AMD EXPO memory one-click overclocking

When AMD released Ryzen 7000, it also announced that the AM5 platform will have EXPO support for memory one-click overclocking technology. To put it simply, it is Intel’s XMP, but AMD is called EXPO. At the same time as the release, many memory manufacturers announced for the first time that there will be compatible memory that supports EXPO.

On DDR5 overclocking memory, it becomes the choice of AMD Ryzen 7000 platform to buy EXPO compatibility, and Intel 12th or 13th generation to buy XMP to achieve the best compatibility. However, MSI mentioned in a recent video that the Z690 will also update the BIOS to support EXPO memory, which is called “iEXPO”. The MSI Z690 motherboard with this function can directly apply the clock, parameters, and voltage of EXPO. Of course, compatibility should be no problem.

The AMD platform actually supports XMP (A-XMP), and this function will still be retained on the new AM5 motherboard, so basically, no matter what memory you buy, you can directly apply the parameters.
