EA SPORTS to renew deal with Premier League: New six-year contract worth £488m

EA SPORTS has reached some deals with multiple sports leagues, such as announcing a multi-year exclusive partnership with the Serie A team Juventus last year and obtaining a new authorization in FIFA 23. This time, EA SPORTS is about to sign a new commercial agreement with the Premier League, involving exclusive electronic authorization of 20 clubs, and the contract value may be close to 500 million pounds.

According to Wccftech reports, Sky News said that the deal will last for 6 years and is worth 488 million pounds, which will bring in more than 80 million pounds in revenue per year, which is more than double the original contract. EA SPORTS continues as the main partner of the Premier League and retains its exclusive game license. At Friday’s meeting of Premier League clubs, 20 teams have been briefed.

Under an existing agreement between EA SPORTS and the Premier League, EA SPORTS sponsors several elements of the matchday experience, such as the EA Sports logo appearing on referees’ jerseys. The Premier League is integrated in-game with the “Ultimate Team” mode, including Premier League player rewards appearing as special items. EA SPORTS and La Liga also have a similar agreement, including the naming rights of La Liga games. The two parties have carried out a rebranding together, involving logos, graphics, fonts, and other visual elements, and there will also be the integration of game content.
