AMD Embedded RoadMap Leaked: next-gen EPYC 3004 will come next year

Judging from the timetable on the slide, the EPYC 7003 series has been postponed. The original plan was between 2020 and 2021. The EPYC 7004 series with Zen 4 architecture should be released in the second or third quarter of next year. But it’s not easy to say whether it will be postponed, after all, the previous products have been delayed. In addition, AMD is planning the next generation of EPYC 3004 series products, which have up to 32 cores and 64 threads. Compared with EPYC 3001 series, TDP is slightly increased, from 60-100W to 65-120W.

According to previous rumors, the EPYC series of Zen 4 architecture will have more cores and will be replaced with new sockets. It will have 96 cores and 192 threads. It also supports 12-channel DDR5-5200 memory and is configured with 128 PCIe 5.0. A total of 12 CCDs are integrated in the Genoa chip, and each CCD will use 8 cores based on the Zen 4 architecture. The default TDP is 320W and the highest configurable support 400W.
