Recently, Sony PlayStation released an article on their official blog, announcing that “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” will be making its grand arrival on the PC platform, including Steam and Epic Game Store, on July 26th. “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart,” a distinguished escort title for the PS5, was launched for consoles on June 11, 2021, meticulously developed by Sony’s first-party studio, Insomniac Games. The very same studio is also credited for crafting the popular “Marvel’s Spider-Man” series.

In the porting process of “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” to the PC platform, Nixxes Software played a pivotal role. This is not the Dutch studio’s first alliance with Insomniac Games, as they were entrusted with the responsibility of porting “Marvel’s Spider-Man” series to the PC platform.
In the article, Nixxes Software also elucidated some novel features the PC version of “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” is poised to boast. For instance, they have incorporated support for screen ratios of 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9, a delightful enhancement for ultra-wide and multi-screen gamers.
Regarding the visuals, the original “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” featured ray tracing. On the PC platform, the game will introduce an additional ray-traced shadows option, working in harmony with the existing ray-traced reflections to generate superior visuals. To bolster performance, Nixxes Software has incorporated prevalent super-resolution solutions currently on the market: NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, and Intel XeSS. The game also supports NVIDIA Reflex and DLAA technologies.
In terms of controls, “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” supports comprehensive mouse and keyboard operations, with customizable key mapping. Controller support is equally accommodated, and if players utilize a wired connection with the DualSense controller, they can relish the same haptic feedback functionality as experienced on the console.
