MSI Releases PRO MP161 Portable Monitor

MSI recently launched the portable monitor PRO MP161, which is convenient for users to expand the screen from a notebook or mirror the display screen of a smartphone to obtain a good work or entertainment experience.

PRO MP161 has a simple appearance, with a three-sided narrow frame design, the overall color is black, and the “MSI” logo is printed on the bottom of the screen. The length and width are 362.3×232.9mm, the thickness is 10.8mm, and the weight is 0.75 kg. It is equipped with a 15.6-inch matte anti-glare screen, using an IPS panel with a resolution of 1080P, a screen ratio of 16:9, a maximum brightness of 250nits, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a GTG of 4ms. Both horizontal and vertical viewing angles are 170°.

In terms of interface, PRO MP161 has a Mini-HDMI interface and two Type-C interfaces. Both Type-C interfaces support DP video transmission and a 15W power supply. The portable monitor comes with a Mini-HDMI to HDMI, a USB C to USB C cable, and a storage bag, which is convenient for users to connect HDMI interface devices and carry them out. The PRO MP161 is also equipped with two 1.5W speakers located on either side of the monitor.

PRO MP161 is also equipped with a folding stand, which can adjust the tilt angle of the display between 0°~180°, adapting to a variety of usage scenarios, and you can get a good experience when using it yourself or making presentations for others. The portable display supports eye protection mode, which can be turned on by the user through the supporting Display Kit software. Through this software, users can also set display modes such as games and movies.

PRO MP161 supports Adaptive-Sync, which is an open standard introduced by VESA. AMD also participated in the formulation of this standard, which can improve problems such as picture delay and image tearing.
MSI has not yet announced the price and specific launch date of PRO MP161.
