Marvell CFO Jean Hu to join AMD as executive vice president and CFO

AMD will soon make adjustments to senior executives. The former Marvell chief financial officer (CFO) will join AMD as executive vice president and chief financial officer, succeeding Devinder Kumar, who is about to retire.

AMD stated in a statement that Jean Hu will enter the job on January 23, and Devinder Kumar will stay until April to complete the relevant handover work. Due to the current downturn in the PC industry, the slowdown in demand has led to a market recession, AMD itself is also in a turbulent period, and its stock price fell by 55% last year. Jean Hu will face more challenges after joining the company.

To fill the vacancy left by Jean Hu, Marvell will promote chief accounting officer Willem Meintjes to the chief financial officer.
