Lenovo launches new ThinkPad X1 Fold laptop with foldable screen

At CES 2020, Lenovo officially announced the ThinkPad X1 Fold foldable version. This is perhaps the first foldable notebook computer with full PC functionality introduced by Lenovo.

The ThinkPad X1 Fold is equipped with a foldable 13.3-inch 2K OLED display with a 4: 3 aspect ratio, a stand, docking station, and a dedicated Bluetooth keyboard that can be magnetically fixed and can be wirelessly charged. This Bluetooth keyboard can be transformed into an ordinary notebook computer after being connected to the ThinkPad X1 Fold, while the keyboard ThinkPad X1 Fold can be turned into a tablet and the tablet can be folded in half.

This new type of laptop is made of lightweight alloy and carbon fiber. It uses Intel Core series processors, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X memory and a frequency of 4267MHz. At the same time, the solid-state hard disk can be equipped with 1TB PCIe NVMe 2242 SSD.

Other configuration aspects: integrated 5MP HD RGB camera and a dedicated IR camera for face recognition, stereo speakers with Dolby audio technology, and 50W battery support for fast charging.

In addition, this notebook computer also has a SIM card slot to support 5G or LTE networks. The specific listing time has not been determined for the time being. However, the price has been announced by Lenovo is $ 2499.

It is worth noting that this device is pre-installed with the Windows 10 operating system instead of the Windows 10X version. As previously reported, the progress of the Windows 10X version is somewhat slow and currently cannot be launched.
