AMD officially issued
an announcement confirming that a live event called “together we advance_PCs” will be held at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on August 29, 2022, and next-generation AMD PC products will be announced. The event will premiere on the AMD channel on YouTube, and a replay will be available on AMD’s official website in a few hours.
AMD Chairman and CEO Dr. LiSa Su, CTO and EVP Mark Papermaster, and other AMD executives will detail the upcoming Ryzen 7000 series of desktop processors, the latest Zen 4 architecture, and the new AM5 platform built around the latest technologies like DDR5 and PCIe. AMD said that these new products with new technology are designed to promote a new era of high-performance desktop computing.
According to previous rumors, AMD will announce the specific specifications and prices of the Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors, and motherboard manufacturers can also disclose the prices of their AM5 motherboards. It is understood that the first batch of Ryzen 7000
series desktop processors will have four models, namely Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X, and Ryzen 5 7600X, corresponding to 16 cores and 32 threads, 12 cores and 24 threads, and 8 cores and 16 threads respectively. and 6 cores and 12 threads. AMD has said it should focus on the high-end segment in the early days of the new platform.
