Microsoft: the SETs feature will be released in the near future
Microsoft’s previously tested Sets collection tab feature is undoubtedly the most anticipated feature, but unfortunately, Microsoft has completely removed it. As for the reasons for the withdrawal, Microsoft said that it only takes more time to improve. This feature was initially released in Windows 10 Version 1809. Microsoft had been testing the feature for a long time but had not heard of any significant problems, so it was quite surprised that it was suddenly withdrawn at that time.
The release time for this feature was previously expected to be published to Windows 10 Version 1903, but it seems that next spring release is also awkward. Because in recent jump test versions, Microsoft did not restart the SETs feature, and Microsoft has not revealed any new news for nearly half a year. Some fans tweeted questions from the Windows 10 development team on Twitter: there is no timetable and more time is needed to continue testing.
No ETA unfortunately.

The collection tabs feature at least looks great, but as you know, this feature is only available for UWP apps that don’t support desktop apps. We know that UWP apps are not going well now. For a variety of reasons, most apps are still only desktop versions without UWP specials. Therefore, the lack of support for desktop programs will significantly reduce the functionality of the collection tabs. The more controversy is Microsoft’s disguised bundle of Microsoft Edge browsers.
At the same time, collecting tabs will also make it difficult for users to switch applications on the taskbar. After all, it becomes terrible to change a lot of things into habits. These controversies, of course, are also known to Microsoft, so withdrawing without significant problems may be that Microsoft wants to improve and resolve these disputes and then release them.
