Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18956 Releases

Microsoft has now introduced some improvements and new features to Windows 10 20H1 Build 18956 for Fast Ring users participating in the test. In this release, Microsoft has redesigned the network status page to provide more detailed data, such as easy access to connection status and usage traffic. Microsoft said the new network status page will help users quickly understand how to connect to the Internet and limit the amount of network traffic used by a particular network connection.

At present, many manufacturers have cooperated with Microsoft and Qualcomm to launch Windows 10 on ARM notebooks or variants and hybrid devices. These devices can always maintain network connectivity using an LTE network, but both LTE networks naturally have to consider billing issues such as connection time and usage traffic. Microsoft’s improved network status page can directly show that the current device has several connections, such as LTE or WiFi or Ethernet wired connections.

For network users who may need to pay by traffic, the traffic limit can be set. When the traffic limit is reached, the system will automatically pop up a warning message to remind the user. The above features are actually in the current official version of Windows 10, this time Microsoft redesigned the status page and refined the functionality.

Earlier, Microsoft has begun to improve the Windows 10 notification bar, that is, the notification prompt module appears in the pop-up window at the bottom right corner of the desktop when a new notification arrives. In the upper right corner of Microsoft’s improved notification bar, there is a settings button that can be used to adjust the notification settings of the corresponding app, such as directly blocking the app from notifying. At the same time, in order to facilitate the user to use the setting button, it is also possible to quickly disable all application notifications, so that the user is not disturbed by the notification at the moment when the voice needs to be muted. The new version of the notification bar is now open to all Windows 10 test users.
