Microsoft re-issues KB4100347, Intel microcode updates

Microsoft has just refreshed Intel Microcode Update for all Windows 10 releases, including Intel processor users including the latest April 2018 Update (also known as “Redstone 4” or 1803). From the Microsoft Support page updated on September 14, this microcode update adds support for more processor models. If you are running RS4, you should see the patch numbered KB4100347.

Recent Changes:

  • Intel Microcode Updates around the following products (CPUs) have been revised. We recommend to take this latest update to stay current:
    • Broadwell Server E, EP, EP4S
    • Broadwell Server EX
    • Skylake Server SP (H0, M0, U0)
    • Skylake D (Bakerville)
    • Skylake X (Basin Falls)
In addition to manual deployment, users can also access this Intel microcode update via Windows Update. For those who need it, please check the related options of ” Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates”.
