LG disclosed specifications of the 32GS95UE

In the waning days before last Christmas, LG unveiled a tantalizing preview of its 2024 UltraGear OLED gaming monitor lineup. This new array of products spans sizes from 32 inches to 45 inches, incorporating several models, all of which made a dazzling debut at the subsequent CES 2024 exhibition. The crown jewel of this collection is the 32GS95UE, which LG has dubbed “Dual-Hz,” designed to offer varying refresh rates at different resolutions.

The 32GS95UE stands out as a gaming monitor capable of achieving a high refresh rate mode (FHD@480Hz) and a high-resolution mode (4K@240Hz), all the while maintaining a lightning-fast response time (GtG) of 0.03ms. Gamers can effortlessly switch display modes with the mere press of a dedicated button located at the bottom of the monitor, enabling a swift transition between visuals. This feature allows for an exhilarating experience in first-person shooter games with high-speed imagery, as well as providing optimal enjoyment in games and videos rich in visual effects.

Recently, LG has disclosed further specifications of the 32GS95UE, revealing it to feature a 31.5-inch OLED panel with a color depth of 10-bit, a typical brightness of 275 nits, and a contrast ratio of 1.5 million to 1, earning it the DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. In terms of display connectivity, it is equipped with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 interfaces, though the absence of a USB Type-C port is somewhat disappointing. The monitor does offer USB hub functionality, including standard USB Type-A ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. LG has also included a versatile stand, enabling adjustments for tilt, height, rotation, and pivot.

Employing “Pixel Sound Technology,” which generates sound directly through the screen’s vibrating diaphragm elements, marks its inaugural application in LG’s display products. This technology, distinct from monitors that combine sound with side or rear speakers, projects audio toward the user in a notably clearer manner. Compared to setups where speakers are connected separately to the monitor, this innovation delivers a more authentic synchrony of image and sound.

The 32GS95UE is priced at $1,399.99 and is slated for release in April of this year.
