Google Maps adds more accurate toll road function and traffic road details
In this update, Google began to include about 2,000 toll road information in the United States, India, Indonesia, and Japan in the Google Maps service. Assisting users to instantly calculate the toll that may be required during the road trip, and know the payment method in advance, this feature will be provided in more areas in the future. In the setting function, users can still choose to avoid toll roads and navigate with free road options.
In addition, Google has also added more map details in this update, including adding traffic lights and stop signs between roads for specific cities, and further depicting the actual shape, width, and marking of the separation island and other details. The update is expected to be available for Android, Android Auto, iOS, and CarPlay versions of Google Maps in the coming weeks.
In other updates, Google has further enhanced the iOS version, as well as the Google Maps experience on Apple Watch, including allowing the Google Maps version for the iOS platform to directly select frequently-visited locations as desktop widgets, and you can quickly choose to navigate or use the shortcut function to create voice-activated navigation commands, and on the Apple Watch, you can also quickly tap a set location, such as home or work, to turn on navigation in a more intuitive way.
