Google announced that it would stop supporting Daydream VR products
Daydream VR is a virtual reality application launched by Google in 2016. Google hopes to expand the use of VR applications through this application.
However, this virtual reality application has not developed as expected by Google. In fact, the usage rate of the application has declined since its release and few users have used it.
It is also true that Google has now decided to abandon this product and no longer provide support, users can still continue to use the application but will not receive any feature updates.
Google has decided to no longer support the DayDream VR series of applications. You may still be able to access the service, but you will no longer receive any software or security updates.
Google says: “Thank you for using Daydream View. The Daydream VR app is no longer supported by Google and may not work properly on some devices running Android 11 or later. Many of the third-party apps and experiences within Daydream may still be available as standalone apps in the Google Play store. We don’t expect users to lose account information or functionality for third-party apps as a result of Daydream no longer being supported by Google.”
