Before installing Windows 11 Insider Preview, please make a data backup
In the previous article, we mentioned that Microsoft launched the first Windows 11 Insider Preview build to the Dev Channel, Build 22000.51. However, this version has a lot of problems and some users try to upgrade and get errors directly.
However, in comparison, the failure to update the device will not affect the use of the device because some users make mistakes during the upgrade process and cause all the old and new systems to crash.
This is mainly easy to occur when upgrading through Windows 10 on a physical machine. During the installation and restart process, the system directly prompts an error and needs to reset the entire system.
If you can reset the system, it would be a blessing in misfortune. After all, the system can still be accessed at this time, but even more, unfortunately, there may be errors when resetting.
We strongly recommend that you do not install Windows 11 Dev Build 22000.51 directly on a physical machine. After all, there may be more problems with the Insider Preview version.
If you really want to install it on a physical machine, it is best to back up your important files in advance, and then make a U disk boot image as a backup for system crashes.
The media file creation tool will automatically write the image file to the U disk. If the system crashes during the Windows 11 upgrade process, at least you have a backup tool.
